Food tracking is kind of a Pain

It may be a pain to log all of the food one eats in a day but it really is worth it. Eye open in the best and worst of ways. It has been a long time since I tracked my food and I refuse to be tethered to the habit for life, but whenever I feel things has gotten out of hand I make an effort to do it for awhile to bring awareness back to myself about just how much and what ratios of such I am really consuming.
Monday I consumed 3400+ calories!
Yesterday it was 2700.

This will need to keep working down, but just the act of logging helps me do this. I was so ashamed of what I consumed on Monday (I had logged at the end of the day) that I worked harder yesterday to keep up and keep the number lower. I was doing much better till the hubby surprised me with a very large mug of hot cocoa at the end of the evening.
We are going to need to break the dessert treat habit. Monday it was ice cream.
