Bicycling Summer

Sunday, May 01, 2016

I've been working the night shift for 12 hours daily and only one day off. Now that the Callaway Nuke Refuel is over, there will be time to bike this summer. It rained almost every time on my day off, so had not gotten hardly any time on the trails. Last summer my longest ride was 35 miles and hopefully I'll be able to go further this year. I never expected to like bicycling long distances so much, but now have a healthy desire to ride as much as possible. Today if it doesn't rain, hope to get about an hour of time on the Katy Trail, to build up my ability to sit on the saddle for the longer trips.

It was a windy day and the night shift work bio schedule crept up on me in the afternoon. Although feeling very tired, was able to make 7 miles on Sunday.

I like riding on bicycle trails, away from traffic. I've never done a distance of 35 miles. Enjoy your ride and meeting new challenges!
