Commitment isn't always easy...

Tuesday, May 31, 2016

I have said since my daddy's passing that I would commit to losing this weight. Well, here we are 16 months after losing him and I'm still at this weight. I lose a little and then gain it back. The struggle is real folks. I know there are others out there going through the same thing I am. Others are able to set their minds to exercising, eating right and losing those lbs. Well, I've changed the way our family eats and I exercise for a short time and fizzle out. I have no one to exercise with and so it seems tough to stay focused and committed when there's little motivation. I have decided that I must be my own motivator. The only one I'm hurting by not exercising is myself. I also don't get enough sleep each night which hinders my self-motivation to get up and get moving. Today is a new day. Today I start fresh. If I screw it up today then I'll start fresh tomorrow. One day at a time...one inch at a time...one pound at a time...that's how commitment works...I didn't get this way in a day and it will definitely take more than a day to change it.
