I know that we each have things that we struggle with on a daily basis. For me, it depends on the day.
Today, I'm struggling because I'm tired. I didn't get enough sleep last night. It happens every time I work until 10 pm. I come home with the intention of being in bed by 10:45 pm with lights out. Last night I was in bed but didn't turn the lights out until 11:15 pm. Then the alarm goes off at 5:15 am. I hit snooze until 5:30 am. Not enough sleep. So now I'm groggy at school thinking I may need some coffee to get through the morning.
To make sure that I get enough sleep tonight. I'll be in bed by 10:30 pm. Tomorrow is the last day of school. I need my energy to get through the half day.
Each day, we each struggle with getting enough sleep, drinking water, portion control, exercise plus a multitude of other things. I am finding that I need to focus on just one of these struggles each day instead of stress over all of them. By focusing on just one of these struggles, I can work on making it a habit. It takes 21 days for something to become a habit.
Starting today (tonight), I'm focusing on getting my 6-7 hours of sleep. I know that I feel much better when I do.
What do you struggle with? What are you going to work on today to make it a habit?
