It isn't easy....

As Kermit the frog would say, " It isn't easy being green!"
Well it isn't easy trying to lose weight....
Almost a year ago my last blog was about my very own pity party. Well, since then, life has thrown some major changes at me and no more pity parties ever again.
As Taylor Swift would sing, " I am never ever ever....."
Being on Sparkpeople has gotten some me very good friends - that I have never met- that keep me encouraged about everything in life. However, SP hasn't really helped me lose the weight. Kind of seesawed the same 6 pounds for several years.
So I made the decision in December to join Weight Watchers starting in the new year of 2016. Found out they were changing their program to the Smart points. The first month I did well- losing 5 pounds.
Then life threw me that very hard curve ball and had a major medical scare. Had an ovarian Tumor (which was quite large) & needed to get a full hysterectomy (the old fashion way by being cut open-no laser stuff).
Thankfully, the so called life curve balls stopped being thrown as there was no ovarian or Uterine Cancer in me. Yes, I am truly blessed!!!!
Surgery went well & now 4 months later I am back to my ole self - at least 75percent. It takes a full year for my insides to fully heal from this kind of surgery. My mindset is back to taking charge of my life.
I did lose about 6 pounds from the operation & then another 5 on my own. Total of 16 pounds all together.
I am not complaining at all. However, now that I am back to my walking workouts & light weights - am hoping that my weight loss journey would be better.
That being said, It isn't easy.....
The month of May had me seesawing the same pound again...Oh no!!!!!!!
The WW SP is a good program as it's really teaching me to eat/cook healthier. Just wish the pounds would start melting off again. Do I use all my Dailies/then my weeklies? Save some??? This what I am all figuring out!!!
Goal is to have 20 pounds off for my Disney Trip in 20 more days.. but not so sure I will make it. Originally had set goal of 25 pounds but know that won't happen.
We all know it isn't easy on our weight loss journey no matter what we do.
In moving forward will just keep my chin up, keep my Sparkpeople friends, & keep on staying positive.....
