83 pounds down and wound update

Hi everyone! Thought I should update. As of today I have lost 83 pounds!

I am still amazingly on track..Not real sure how because the last week has been rough. First the surgery, they could not close the wound so my husband James has to pack it twice a day for now. This is extremely painful and the tape over top is irritating.

Now for the really sad news. My dog Harley is gone, no sign of him anywhere, we think the neighbor killed him. We caught him trying to kick him a week ago. I am beyond heartbroken, I miss my little boy.


Even sadder news, I live in West Virginia about 45 minutes from where all the flooding is happening. We drove that way yesterday and it was so sad. Please pray for all these poor folks who lost everything.

    Yes that is awful in West Virginia, passed thru there a few weeks back visiting my brother & family in Virginia.I am praying for the people that have gone thru this & without homes,Mom & I were talking about what has happened in West Virginia this evening!!

    KAt. I said a prayer that Harley is off having the time of his life somewhere, on this earth, or otherwise. I think you must have nasty neighbours. It is so great that you are still on track and losing. 83 pounds is really a lot. Keep up the great work. I hope your wound heals and feels better soon. I also sleep in a recliner so I am very conscious of my butt now. LOL Take care and get well soon.

    I am praying you find your little one Harley and he comes home to you. I have been praying for those in WV. and have seen the picture of the burning house going under the bridge. Such devastation! Will continue to pray for those that did make it and those missing. God bless all and I am glad you are doing okay with the surgical area. Most the time those need to be packed and heal from the inside out. It takes a while but you won't have a problem again.

    Oh, dear friend! Despite all going on you are a real trooper and managing to hang in there and stay on course!I am so impressed and proud of you! I sure hope that wound starts healing so you can have some relief from pain and function better! Sending healing prayers! I have no words for the loss of your beloved Harley! I am so sorry! Do you think you should make a police report to help if this "man" tries to hurt any other dog or animals they have something on file? I so hope he might return...sending prayers! And my prayers go out to those who lost their home in the picture, and to all those flood victims...I can't imagine! Bless them! Life sure can be so hard!     My heart breaks at the loss of your dog...I hope you are wrong and he turns up! Glad you are safe. I have a friend who lives where the flooding is. She is ok, but her friends have lost everything.

    I am saddened by the loss of your dog and pray that he just wandered off, following his nose towards a smell he just couldn't resist. The flooding that is taking place there is terrible and I pray for all of those effected.

    So sad about your dog. Let's pray for the misguided people that would do such a heartless thing. Something in them needs help. It must be a deep hurt if you act out on others. Congrats on the weight gone! I want the similar thrill you are getting, so it inspires me to continue on, one day at a time. May your wound heal well, and sooner than expected.     My dogs are my babies, too, and I completely understand your heartbreak. If you can prove what happened to him at some point, you may actually be able to bring legal action. But, that's for another time.

    I will be and am praying for those in WVA and what is happening with them and what is happening there. My hart breaks when I see or hear of things like this happening. We should choose to turn back to our first love, and HE will heal our land!

    I know Harley was a big, no not big, but HUGE part of your life, and I know that there is an empty space there, and with time that wound will heal as well as your physical wound that your DH is taking care of.

    WOW!!! YIKES!!! and an atta way to go, young lady, with the weight loss that you've had! How do you feel? What changes can you tell me about? I'm so PROUD of you! I've been proud of you, the entire time that I've known you, no matter what state you were in, as you're just that kind of a LOVEABLE girl, that deserves so much and God is giving it to you right NOW!!!
