Down 50lbs -- This is a journey

Losing weight is never easy. The first thing a person needs is motivation and a reason to kick start the process. Why did you gain weight in the first place? Why do you want to lose weight now. There is no magic formula. You have the determination within you, so why delay. Weight-loss is science. Calories in vs calories out. Start exercising 30-60 minutes per day and watch your daily calorie intake. You do not have to deprive yourself of the foods you love. It's just that simple.

I decided to begin my journey in December when I realized my size 18 clothes did not fit. I definitely did not want to buy a size 20. I started walking at home for about 60 minutes. Eventually increased my walking to 90 minutes. After walking about 2 months, I started using my gym membership. I can proudly say that I am into this health & fitness journey. I love exercising. You have to enjoy the good with the bad. There will be days that you just don't have the energy to do anything but I know once I step into the gym, my mood changes.


In viewing the first photo, I was down about 23 lbs and the second photo shows me at 50lbs weight-loss. My starting weight was 223lbs. I have about 20-25 more pounds to lose.
