It's been a while since I've written; for a while I was busy getting ready for my vacation, then I was on my vacation, then I was recovering from my vacation! It's so much fun to go on a trip, but so much work too. But I'm back now and it feels like things are finally getting back to normal.
I gained 4.5 pounds on my vacation. We tried to eat good low carb foods as much as we could, but it was hard to do that all the time. There's just a mentality I get when I'm on a trip that's like, "well, this is a special time, I may as well enjoy the foods I don't normally eat", and before you know it I've eaten a huge burger and an ice cream cone and I'm at the candy shop picking up hand made truffles.
The good news is that I have already lost all the vacation weight and I've even dropped another 1.5 pounds. So that's 6 pounds in 6 days! I'm excited to see what I'll be tomorrow on my official weigh in day. Maybe I'll be out of the 210s!
I went out early this morning to dig up some potatoes, carrots and onions from my garden. It's going to be a scorcher today so I wanted to get it done early. I'm just enjoying the house now while it's cool, but pretty soon I'll be stuck in front of the fan. I love summer, but sometimes I wish it was a little more pleasant and I didn't have to do all my active work in the morning. I gotta get the vacuuming done soon too before it's too hot.
Well, I hope everyone is doing well! I sure am. It's good to be home again and eating well and losing weight. Hubby and I have another trip planned for mid-November, and my goal is to be down to 190 by then. That should help me stay on the ball!
