Day 257 of my VLCD Journey

Happy Tuesday everyone! I had a good day yesterday. I made good choices for dinner, baked chicken, corn and grapes. I did have a snack last night (2 cheese sticks) but I really wanted a bowl of cereal and a sleeve of crackers but I didn't!!! So win there.
I started something new this morning. I got out a journal and I wrote things down. I first wrote 3 confessions from the day before. They weren't all diet related but things I did that I know I shouldn't have. I next wrote down 3 things I learned from yesterday about myself. I then wrote down 3 goals for today. I feel writing these down, 1. makes me more accountable. 2 makes me really think about my choices and life. and 3. makes it more real and achievable when I can write and reread them as needed. My plan is to incorporate this into my morning routine!
Went for another walk last night with my niece. This time my other niece joined in! I even jogged a little too! I have signed up for my second 5k this year! I am excited to do the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving!!!
The grocery store chain Festival Foods holds on every year and I am excited that I get to do it this year!!!!
Starting to wind things down at my current job and tie up lose ends as I prepare to leave and start my new adventure at my new job. I did take a week off between jobs so I can relax and get my house and things in order. I feel I have been non stop all summer and into the fall. So this will give me time to recharge before my first day. A little stay-cation some call it.
I have my niece Jennie for a couple more days then I will once again have my house to myself and my cats!!! I had a friend staying with me for 2 months, and then after she left my niece came. I am ready to get myself back into a routine and have my own space again!
