I will never give up....

Wednesday, September 28, 2016

Just returned from my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon , the news was not good. My bones are crumbling in my lower leg underneath the implant. For right now I have to take it easy and see if it stops by itself. If not I will have to have another surgery or maybe just a brace.
So my exercise program has to be adapted to take this into consideration. I also started taking a calcium supplement . Maybe this will make a little bit of a difference and helps with the healing process.
I now get tons of job offers, but the surgeon said absolutely not. So I will be applying for temporary disability benefits, to help cover our bills and expenses.
I am very grateful for all my spark people friends who are always sending me encouraging words, could not do this with out you. emoticon emoticon

Oy vey! Like SNL's Gilda Radner quip used to quip to Jane Curtain, "it just goes to show you, it's always something — if it ain't one thing, it's another." The bone, the job offers, ...

A little here, a little there, a little folding of the hands in sleep. Try to keep a sense of humor, even if (as a nurse knows) it is graveyard humor.

I pray for you in your continued journey. You have many who wish you well.

What frustrating news! I'm so glad you're able to step back and say "How can I adapt?" - when things are out of our control, it's the only healthy thing we can do. Just give us a shout if you hit a patch of "blue" and we'll be there!
