I had surgery on my right foot about six weeks ago. Most of it healed up without a hitch, but...
The doc had to slice off some of the bone along the outside of my foot (I'd broken it at some time and didn't heal correctly). The surgical site finally healed shut, but it's still bright and angry looking. ARGH!!!
It got infected despite my best efforts.
Oh, did I mention that I'm diabetic?
It's taken much longer than I hoped it would, but it is starting to look and feel a little better. Have you ever thought what walking in a surgical boot does to your other aching joints? Sigh...
Time for some injections in my knees and then my back ... again.
HOWEVER! That said, I'm actually feeling pretty danged good for an old broad.
So sorry to hear it was infected :-(( That is so very dangerous for a diabetic!! I was quite shocked when I saw how much bone my surgeon chunked out of my right foot, looked like a shark got at it. Still kind of gets sore. I didn't stay in the boot long, I actually felt better walking barefoot (so it wouldn't rub on the side where the incision was). Glad you are finally feeling better -here is to a complete healing with no more complications! Keep on being the Spark you are!
