updates on Terry and Ashlea's aunt Sherry and Ashlea

Sherry and her family were hoping she would be able to go home over the weekend. well, not so much. they got all of the cancer as far as they can tell, but still need to keep her to make sure she's healing properly and her kidney is functioning properly. you know, all of that good stuff. doctors said a couple of weeks.

Ashlea and I visited Terry on Saturday. she was doing great. they even let her take a shower. sunday, the doctor put her back on bed rest. only allowed to get up to go potty. she was so upset about that because now she couldn't get up to walk around her little step-down unit any more. then yesterday (Monday) morning, she woke up, started feeling funny, called for help. she thought she was having another seizure. it was not. turns out, her aneurysm burst, she actually had a stroke, not a seizure. her left side she couldn't move I guess for hours. she's lucky though because her paralysis was only temporary. she's bald now and is upset about that too because they had to drill a hole to drain the blood I think Gordon said. she's still beautiful though. I had to tell her that because she so doesn't see it. if you guys could meet her you would know exactly what I mean. she is one of the sweetest people I know.

Ashlea got her new glasses yesterday so she can see without blurry vision. The old ones are 12 months old and just aren't working any more. What a concept! Braces (AFOs) tomorrow.
