Maintenance Part 2

Maintenance is not an easy part to this weight loss journey. When you are in the losing cycle there is lots of encouragement to keep you motivated such as your clothes becoming too big, the scale is dropping pretty regularly and people are noticing and commenting. When you get to the maintenance part it takes a great deal of awareness to not let yourself backslide to where you were before. Life does get in the way for all of us but we have to take a stand and not let ourselves get lazy and slump backwards.
These challenges keep us motivated and aware of what we need to do even though we know what we need to do.
I have maintained for three years and I want to make that four year list next July emoticon !!
