Day 73/ No workout for a while... TMI

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Well, I finally went to the doctor this morning, after spending last night in pain. I thought I could push it off one more day because I didn't want to be out to late (I have a hard time seeing at night and get bad anxiety because of it when I have to drive at night).

There will be no working out for me for a while, the pain is just too much, and it is going to take a few weeks for me to heal, possibly longer if I have to have surgery, yes, that's on the table.

emoticon Okay TMI warning, if you don't want TMI, don't read any further. emoticon

emoticon I have hemorrhoids. Bad enough that the doctor was talking about surgery to remove them. But there is a good chance they will go down on their own. The doctor sympathized because she has had hemorrhoids before and knows how painful they can be. So a few prescriptions and some OTC meds later (one I could not get because my insurance would not cover it) I've got a follow up in two weeks. But honestly, these hurt bad enough that if they get any worse at all I'm going back and telling them to sign me up for the surgery. You know it's bad when the first words out of your doctor's mouth when she see's it is, "Oh, wow." Not a good sign.

I was in tears last night, because of the pain. Seriously, I'd have never thought that this could cause that much pain, but it is excruciating. I've not been sleeping much either.

But stretching is still good... well, some stretching is okay, so I've been doing that.

I'm going to make another post on what I've been up to with the sewing and crocheting, something more positive and les owie.

I can't imagine the pain you are going through. I am so glad you went to the Dr. At least you know the problem can be resolved. I hate it when insurance companies get to decide what is covered. Ask them if there is a similar medication that they will cover, and then relay that information back to the Dr. This has happened to me 3 times in the last 3 months. I finally found a pharmacist, who is very good ( white hair and has been doing this a long time) and he has helped me get the information. Because of the "Pill Dance", I have changed RX insurance. My costs will be about $65 a month instead of $185+, and the premium is only $9 more.

In the meantime, prayers for your healing. Keep doing what you are doing and GET LOTS OF FIBER!!

Oh you poor thing. My son has hemorrhoids and I know what he has to go through when they flair up. Take care of yourself and follow your doctor's instructions until you're better or you get the surgery. emoticon
