Daisy and the Snow
Sunday, December 11, 2016
It's finally come - the snow that will be here until Spring. The temps are in the low teens - single digits and below 0 coming in the extended forecast.
It started snowing lightly just before we went to bed but didn't look like much. However, when Daisy and I went out this morning there was at least 5 inches of fresh, light snow. Daisy went out, took care of business, explored for a couple of minutes and came in quickly. Although they (the esteemed weather people) said it would end soon - the snow kept coming. Tom went out and spent almost 2 hours blowing the driveway, which now has at least another inch.
I brought my camera when I took Daisy out this afternoon. This is her wondering why I'm standing in the doorway and not sitting in my chair
She's trying to find her familiar smells - but comes up with snow all over her face
She follows her path - this afternoon she hasn't gone too far from the house
Still trying to find her smells
Now she's looking at me wondering why I don't come out to play. See the snow on my lights around the garden - that has to be 7 inches
Yep, the snow is here to stay. Daisy will be perplexed now until spring. She is a sniffer - she walks around the yard every morning smelling the ground to see where the rabbits have been or the squirrels or if there's been a strange doggie hanging out. That's her job to keep us safe.
I must be turning into my mom - she had hundreds of photos of her cats. I can't think of anything I like taking pictures of more than little Daisy!
