My Safe Foods

I have several safe foods that I go to when I am really craving something to eat and its in-between mealtime and snacks. There are times in life that I find myself starving even though I had my meal or snack. Snacks are great, but sometimes I have a day where the craving just won't go away. These foods keep me from binging or eating something I shouldn't. For me, they all seem to hit the spot, are healthy, and don't have a lot of calories. They are a safe avenue when I am really hungry and have to go off of my meal plan. These go to foods can be different for everyone. Mine are a serving of a hard-boiled egg, a few nuts, a piece of low-fat cheese, or half a bananas. Have them prepackaged or prepared ahead of time so you can grab one in a pinch. A good meal-plan always has an emergency clause. My safe foods are the emergency clause that keep me on the right track.
