Okay, If there was no such thing as scales and clothing sizes, I would need to go back to physical measures of my health and happiness.
I'm going to focus on three of these today.
1. Have I been able to complete a kilometer of walking in less time. (I don't run as I don't enjoy it!) So I'd look back at my last clocked time for 1k and then retest myself! How much have I improved? Celebrate! and retest in 6 months! or celebrate and retest in 3 months or Encourage myself and then look at why my time is no different and see how I can improve! Note that first I celebrate or encourage myself!!
2. Seek realistic changes that good friends have seen in me! (Remember I am a good friend of myself as well!) Again celebrate then look at areas I can push myself in (kindly of course!)
3. Look at Short Term and Long Term Goals, again first celebrate goals met and then set a further goal to meet or Encourage myself and keep going towards my goal.
Wow! Sometimes I look at what I write and think and then life gets in the way. That's the time when I say 1 step back, 2 steps forward and get back on track!!

I especially like #1. Even small improvements over time improve our "functional fitness" For that, our future selves will thank us. 1515 days ago
