Day 11 of 100 Days of Gratitude

Sunday, February 19, 2017

We had a monster storm here Thursday night, all day Friday & night, Sat. causing 60 mph winds, rain like waterfalls, lots of fallen trees on cars, power lines and houses and mud slides closing highways and evacuations. 10.5 inches or rain in a nearby area. More expected tomorrow and Tues.

I am grateful that there have bee no injuries reported. And I am grateful that this community will work together to help each other.

Edit: Oh, no! 6 deaths. Tragic.

That stormy weather finally reached here too--more trade winds than rain though.

That same storm reached us during the early hours of Saturday - high winds and torrential rain. One boat in the bay broke loose and we had some roof tiles blow off. Glad it is all over!
