Its About The Process

Sometimes, I think we lose sight of the big picture. I know I do at times. We all want the ability to snap our fingers and our weight be where we want it to be. We don't want to put in the hours of hard work and determination we know its going to take.
But I've come to learn, its about the process. The journey. Its the little changes and improvements we see in ourselves. For example, I haven't been able to do a back bend in quite a few years. I can now! I haven't been able to jog for more than 2 minutes at a time in about 5 years. I can now jog for 15 minutes straight, and I'm still pressing for more. I never took nutrition seriously. I would always eat macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, hot-dogs, etc. Now I eat lean proteins, fruits, veggies, high antioxidant and whole grain foods. I can see and feel a difference in me.
Its taken me nearly 2 years to get the 32 pounds that I have lost off of me, when I KNOW it could have taken me just a few months. But because I wouldn't stay committed, and kept quitting, it took me MUCH longer.
But..... I still did it. 32 pounds. GONE. Sometimes, its the journey. I've learned so much about myself and my body in that time. God had a purpose behind all of this.
SO if you are struggling, allow me to encourage you. YOU WILL ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS! Weight loss takes time. It took time for it to add on, it will to subtract as well. Don't give up when the scale hasn't budged. Don't give up when you mess up and binge eat everything on a weak day. KEEP. PRESSING. ON! You can do this, and you will! You are strong and capable. You are a warrior. Fight on! Remember, the journey is what makes the destination complete bliss!
