Spring Cleaning!

Feeling a little better yesterday. Could have been all of the caffeine... I had four cups of coffee (technically 5, I had one at 2 AM that morning) and 3 cups of iced tea. I think DH is right and the meds I'm on are sedating me too much. But I'd rather be sedated and happy than energetic and a depressed anxious mess. At any rate I was in a much better mood yesterday afternoon when all of the caffeine kicked in. I'm feeling better this morning now that I've had some coffee and am actually awake.

DH and I celebrated 11 years married yesterday. We went to our favorite restaurant on Friday and then had Chinese and played games yesterday. Was a nice relaxing day. Then DH rearranged our living room and brought the TV down from the bonus room to the Living room. The entertainment 'room' was just not working. The other half of the room is DH's office, so if he was doing something we could not watch TV. Nice to have it back down here. And really nice to have the living room rearranged, it actually looks inviting now, like a place I would want to sit. And we managed to keep my treadmill in the living room, so I'm super happy. The entertainment half of the bonus room is going to be turned into a craft area for me, so my sewing stuff will have a home, yay!! And I'll get to spend time with DH at night while he is on his computer and I'll be in the craft area.

Lots more cleaning to be done, we want to rearrange our bedroom next. DH bought these giant bean bags so we would have a place to sit and chat and I would have a place (in the bedroom) to retreat to when I need to and stay out of bed. Then I will move on to cleaning the kids rooms and DH will move on to the office/entertainment room (the bonus room). Once the office/entertainment area is cleaned out we can turn it into my craft area and his office space. He wants to also have a space at his desk area for me to come put my computer so we can play games together in the same room instead of being on Teamspeak (talking on headsets in separate areas of the house). Yes I like to play video games. Not that often, but I do enjoy it.

Today I'm going to concentrate on my computer area (it's got paper and books everywhere!) and the bedroom. Also have swim lessons for the girls today. And we are going to make banana bread. We are going through recipes til we find one we like that we can make for the bake sale coming up on the 12th for church. I'm going to make a lot. I think chocolate cupcakes and banana bread.

The main thing I'm going to concentrate on this week is getting back into my normal routine. Back to working out and doing my daily routines and feeling more like me again. Weather permitting I'm going to add a daily park trip to my routine to walk a mile or two on their track and then let the kids play on the playground, maybe have lunch there, and then come home and finish up school work. During the hotter months I'll move this to morning instead of lunch time. Should be nice. And will get me in the habit for when I get my dog. She will need a lot of exercise. Plus I need to start training for my hiking trip again. If I still want to do my overnight trip in September, I better get on the ball!

So basically I think we've been doing and plan on doing a lot of Spring cleaning. I don't normally do Spring cleaning but this year I really feel like it. I want to clean out the garage too and put in a punching bag and get the pull up bar that we bought put in place. Not that I can do a pull up. But my goal is to be able to do 10 pull ups in a row. That is going to take a while. But I can do it. I will get there!!

I hope you are having a sensational Sunday! We are not going to church today because DH is really not feeling well. And I have not been sleeping. I was up all night either because I was coughing or because I just woke up wide awake. Happens every night after 2 AM. No, the coffee I had is not the cause, lol, I don't drink any in the middle of the night most nights. Just felt like it yesterday night. So I'm going to try not to take a nap today if I can manage it. Maybe that will help me to sleep more tonight. We'll see.

    It's emoticon about the 11 years! My overall well being is stronger this year and I am on a decluttering spree. It feels so good to rearrange and let some of it go!
