100 days of weight loss - Day 1
Thursday, April 13, 2017
I came across a challenge for "100 Days of Weight Loss" on one of my teams today. I've been looking for something to get me back on the "healthy eating" wagon. I get on often, but fall off quickly. There is actually a book that goes with the challenge, and I found it on Amazon for $1.99 for my kindle. It reads a bit like a daily devotional. Each day you have a short chapter and a quick assignment.
My "why's" for wanting to lose weight....
*Clothes will fit better
*My feet won't hurt as much
*running with be easier with less weight
*follow up appt with doctor at a lower weight
*Get out of Obese BMI
*Not be the designated fat friend, nobody makes me feel this way but me!
*wear shorts comfortably.. this is big since I live in the south.
*improve self esteem
*lastly, if I can make some progress I'm going to get a consult for a breast reduction.
Daily 1 Assignment -
things that have gotten in may way...
-I used to treat myself to junk food when I went grocery shopping. Now I will pick something healthy to treat myself.
-I used to crave sugar when I was tired at work to get me out of a slump. Now I will be prepared and have healthy snacks available and work better and getting a good nights sleep!
-I used to indulge in poor dinner choices when i didn't feel like cooking. Now I plan ahead and have easier dinners during the week.
Those are my biggest hurdles and how I plan on changing them going forward!
