We were at the Clinic 9 hours yesterday ! We were a little bit early for John's first appt.
We were a little bit early for John's first appt. Ended up waiting over 50 min. It was for Lab work. Then we had to go to another building to see the Pulmonary Dr. We were already an hour late because of waiting so long for the Lab. Plus waiting for a shuttle to come etc. Dr. took Johns history, then checked him. He said he's doing pretty good. His O2 levels were good, even while while & after walking. He said to come back . then I asked if he could come back when we come for John's next appt. Then I realized we'll go to the Hill Crest Hospital for 4/26 appt. so asked about 5/9 ? He said that was fine, just call if anything comes up. He told us to stop and get a chest xray on the way out. Which we did & it was done fast ! Then back to the Cancer building. By the time we got there it was almost 2 hrs. behind. They don't seem to mind though. It happens all the time there. It bugs me though, I never have liked being late for anything. I've finally learned at the Clinic not to worry about it. We saw the CNP. She showed us the Xray he just had done & compared it to the last one. She said there was a lot of inprovement ! And was very happy. He has to keep using his sperometer. His Hemoglobin was down again - 7.1 He had to have another blood transfusion. We went over to the Infusion Dept., They did the Immunotherapy infusion first, then the Blood transfusion. The CNP said he really needed to units of blood, but they wouldn't have time. So they only gave him one. I keep waiting for a call from the CNP saying to go to our hospital here for another Blood transfusion. Well, it was after 6 PM when we got out of there. By the time we got home it was about 8:30 PM. We did stop and get subways to bring home for our dinner. I hate eating dinner at 9 PM> Sometimes you just don't have a choice ! We were both starving. Our kitty - Spirit was sure glad to see us. We were just so grateful for some good news - finally !!!
Now today he was nauseated this afternoon, laid down & took a nap on the couch. Felt somewhat better when he woke up, then as the afternoon went on, felt better. We had left over stew for dinner. 6 PM this time. A whole lot better then 9 PM !!!
Now I'm trying to get ready for Easter. Cleaning still isn't done, I have to color eggs & make 2 pies. Oreo cookie & cream cheese. One I'm going to use mint. Our son went & got what I needed after work. They didn't have the mint oreos, so I'll just use some of the Thin Mints (girl scout) in the one. I hope it comes out good. Were going to his Mom's. Since she can't do all the cooking or anything anymore (she's 94, everybody brings something. John's sister (the one we stay with in Cleveland) is bringing most of the stuff & doing the cooking. God Bless her & her DH ! Like I said before, I don't know what we'd do without them !!!
We have a lot of things to be great full for & thank God everyday for each & everyone of them. Including our Spark friends here ! ; }
So now it's about time I hit the sack. softly & warmly. You all have a great rest of the week !
Love ya', Flutterfli emoticon

    What a day you had, but it must have been worth to receive such good news. It's such a blessing to have supportive family when there is a time of sickness or crisis, sometimes both.
