Hitting the hypothetical RESET button!

Monday, May 01, 2017

I haven't really been on track the last week or so. Ok, more like the last couple weeks. Alright, so I've been feeling off since Easter. I admit, I had WAY too many goodies. I went to the Dr the week before, and I got a good report. "Time to relax a little now, right?" Lol WRONG! I haven't gained TOO much of the weight back, but I'm feeling lousy. I'm not getting enough water or freggies, have insane sugar cravings, and am NOT exercising the way my body wants me to. Here's my "Get back on track" game plan: Drink 1 glass of water as soon as I wake up and before I go to bed. Aim for at least 1 glass with each meal. Drink 1 glass of water any time I get a craving for something to eat. Move at least 5 mins every hour. STAY IN MY CALORIE RANGE! I KNOW I can do this because I've done it before. I do not, under any circumstance, want to hear that dreaded "d" word ("diabetes")! My sis was diagnosed in March, and I want to beat it!

Elimination of processed foods will open the way for you to add more veggies, and the cravings go away, at least that is what happened to me. It was the only way I could gain control and stop the mindless eating of foods without nutrition. I don't have the answers for others, just myself. I am cheering you on for your own victory of finding what works best for you. I also understand the fear of diabetes, it is a real issue I face daily, and I am winning my battle so far, I hope your sister is too. Best wishes.
