Sugar Lessons: Almost Done With the Challenge--But Not Quite

I palled around with Sneezing Sam! Oh, noses!

Last week I caught a cold from my Hubby. I've done my best to push through it but something that's been put on hold is the week with no added sugar. I made it four days, then Saturday I needed something cold which culminated in an ice cream cone. Yesterday, I had a bunch of chocolate and didn't even bother to track food because I was so sick and went SO OVERBOARD.

In going overboard, I learned an important lesson though--life's too short to feel guilty. I think yesterday was the first time in SO LONG that I didn't feel guilty for overindulging. I did feel bad for not going to yoga class, though. The trouble is, I know I wouldn't have been able to follow along and may even have made my cold worse. Today has been about the same, and as someone who tends toward infection (thanks, defects!) I am trying everything in my power to keep this cold from traveling down into my chest. This means no pushing myself, and that has been difficult to say the very least.

The good thing about this is that I've been much more conscientious about eating well today. I've had lots of fruits and veggies and have been very successful at keeping hydrated this weekend. So I'll just continue to eat myself well, sans ridiculous amounts of chocolate, moving forward. :)
