My beautiful sister as I would like to remember her

My heart is broken, I am living in an irreconcilable nightmare of why and what if. Today it's my birthday (61) but it has been one of the most miserable days : my only sister, one year younger, my best friend, threw herself off the roof of the block of units where she lived, in Cyprus and ended her life. She had some health issues and had been fighting depression, the last time I spoke to her on Tuesday night she sounded so much better, and then this! WHY?

    I am so sorry for your loss. I have been through post-partum depression myself and this was something I had considered doing too, so I can understand your sister. She is at peace now. You must not blame yourself.

    Words cannot convey enough sorrow. I cry for you in my heart. You may never be able to comprehend "why" but your sister must have been in so much pain that she felt this was "best" for her. There is no understanding of suicide. I am so sorry for your loss and pain.

    She was lovely and looked so happy in that photo. That is the way she was and is to be remembered. The pain and darkness experienced by someone who is depressed cannot be imagined by one unless they have experienced it themselves. Even when it seems their life is going so well this insidious illness can strike. So heartbreakingly sad and a tragic loss of life :-((

    I gasped when I read this. Oh, if people only realized the pain they would leave behind when they commit suicide, but their minds are bombarded by the devil's lies and deceit. You, my sweet friend, have been robbed, too. Prayers are going your way.

    Oh my god. Sometimes there are no whys. Just the pain of the one who takes his life awy. Sometimes they feel they're a burden, or that the pain is so hard. think that she decided this, it was not your fault or hers. She'sā€‹ in peace now.
