It's raining! I had plans to go meet a friend at the park and let our kids play! Rain, rain, go away!! Oh well, we do need the rain, the lake is WAY down, but it's been raining for like a week!
Repeating day 2 of the challenge because yesterday was such a challenge!! I think I have a kidney stone, AND it's that time of the month. So. Much. Pain. Once I got the pain to go away, I got started on the under the stairs closet, and completely forgot about working out I was so intent on the stuff I was finding. Here's a look of 'during' because I forgot to take a 'before' picture:
I don't have an 'after' picture yet, some of the boxes have to wait on DH to go through them, and honestly I'm stuck on whether to keep some books or just get the book on Kindle next time I want to read them. I still have like 6 boxes of books to go through too!
I found an 'accessory' box to my punch bowl set, but I'm still missing the actual set. That is the main reason I'm cleaning out this closet, I remembered that I have not seen the punch bowls since we moved. Crap. I've been collecting this set since I was 5 and first saw my Mom's punch bowl set and she said I could have it when I grew up. My father gave it to my sister without me knowing. So I've been slowly collecting, bought an actual bowl and set of cups to go with it, my father felt bad and looked till he found one and bought it for me, so I had two. Now I think I have none and am back to just accessories. This is what it looks like:
So day 2 of the arms and stomach challenge. It really is a challenge too! I can barely do the abs work, but I've got to build those muscles so I'm sticking to it! Also trying hard to get to 60 minutes working out, not pushing too hard so I don't overdo it! Monday was 37 minutes and I'm proud of that!
I ate again last night. I was half asleep and somehow managed to make another PB&J. Darn. Tonight I think I will lock up the bread and peanut butter, but them in the pantry and put duct tape on the door! I think I know why I'm doing it. I'm craving sweets bad and that is very sweet. I almost binged on some Glucerna chocolate and caramel bars. I had three! Three!! I'm just glad I managed to stop myself there. Must be that sweet tooth again. But then I am getting plenty of sweets! My breakfast shake is sweet; chocolate shake with strawberries and bananas. My lunch shake is chocolate Glucerna. I usually let myself have one Glucerna snack, which is caramel, so, sweet. I'm keeping an eye on the actual sugar, no I'm not getting too much. I'm getting crunchy and salty in my homemade overnight pickles I make them almost every night so I can satisfy that food craving. Then I have a sensible dinner of whatever we have, I'm getting enough calories... Not sure why I'm eating in the middle of the night.
Of course I started including my midnight munchies in my calories for the day, maybe today I won't and I'll see if getting my normal daily calories helps me to not eat. I'm serious about the duct tape.
can you believe it, it went from stormy and raining to cloudy yet sunny in the time it took me to write this blog!! So maybe park after all!!
I know I've posted the next one before, but it really got me thinking. I've had a rough year, but at least I'm not there any more. Besides it could be worse, I could be having to do it all in MOPP gear! So that got me thinking that no matter how hard it is right now, it could be worse. There are a million ways it could be worse, I won't list them. But I'm glad for today's struggles, because they are today's not yesterday's, not 10 years of yesterday's ago, but today's. For that I am very thankful.
So I'm off to work out and get ready for today as soon as my shake settles! Hope y'all have a wonderful Wednesday!!!
