Hello yall!! I am back at losing weight and changing my lifestyle to be healther for not just me bit my kids also. So I was wondering if I can get some advice on what to eat as meals especially at night or what can I do to get motivated and make sure I stay on track. I have tried before and before that and before that but I always fall back. I only want to lose 30-40 pounds. I start doing good and then I don't plan ahead for meals and wind up eating something quick and not healthy. I just need some motivation and some advice on how to keep from giving up and what are some healthy breakfast lunch snacks or dinner recipes that would work for my family. Thanks in advance.

    My best advice is use tracking food each day under Nutrition. Use the "Plate" advice and other good recipes from Spark People. I like to look at the chart after meals to see that I stay close to 20% Protein, 30% Fat and 50-65% carbohydrates. I try to get the 5 vegetable or fruits each day and drink at least 8 glasses of water. 30 or more minutes of exercise every day is a personal goal. SP recommends at least 30 minutes 3 times weekly. Using Spark People for help and motivation is the best way to do All you want to do. emoticon

It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it.     Great seeing you are giving SP a chance. I have found SP to be the best. If you do what they tell you, do the challenges, and DRINK THE WATER, ut out soda (diet too) you will hit your goals. I have lost 30 lbs since Jan 1 and wasn't able to loose a thing in the 30 years prior

    One of my tricks is to keep fresh fruits and veggies you like around like bananas or berries, carring around apples or oranges grapes will give you something sweet with out unwanted calories, broccoli, celery, carrots, are good too.
