Eclipse musings and update
Monday, August 21, 2017
I got to see the eclipse today, as luckily the cloud cover broke here. It was only 80% coverage, but that was still pretty cool. I was regretting not traveling somewhere to see the full eclipse but it was cloudy in a lot of places anyway. Next one is in 7 years, so I can start planning now!
A friend reminded me of the move Ladyhawke which was one of my all time favorite movies when I was younger. Only movie I know of where an eclipse plays such an important role! I just finished watching it, and if you haven't seen it you should watch it! Awesome movie with some action, some romance, some supernatural, and a happy ending so what's not to like?
Today was my weigh in day and I was only down half a pound. However, I didn't get a lot of sleep this weekend, and went over calorie range on Saturday, so I'm not too worried. I am not sure I can succeed in losing the 20 lbs I wanted to lose by the first week of October, but I am losing and that's what counts!
I also had two people in the last few days tell me that they noticed I was losing weight, and that is always a real pleasure to hear. I bought a floor mirror at Ikea a while ago and finally put it together, so some time this week I'll take some photos. I want to use the same outfit from my previous before/after so I can see how far I've backslid :-). Although I am 100% confident that I will get back to that after picture again!
