Sparkpeople vs. MyFitnessPal

Wednesday, August 30, 2017

SP has really been the most positive weight loss and get healthy app I have come across. But I have been having a hard time with its performance repeatedly especially for the past week. It's locked me out of my account once. And now it's been freezing up, takes up to 15 minutes to load anything at all I try to bring up. I can't use the software because of it and I don't know if purchasing a subscription would improve the functionality. So I'm stuck on MyFitnessPal for the time being and I'm so unhappy there. Every time I've used the forums there's always those few people that are negative and critical. It ruins my whole day. If there's any help or advice from anyone out there I'd appreciate it. I don't know whether or not I should have taken this to the community feed but I just had so much to say.

Sparkpeople is free because of ad revenue. I long ago paid $30 for ad-free use. My wife recently joined and as I was logging for her, the ads slowed my input dramatically. Not 15 minutes, but a lot. I paid the $30 and no more ad pain. it is worth it.

Yes, take it to the Tecnical site/ Help Forum in the Community Message Boards. Click on Community in the header at top of your page; scroll down and click on Message Boards. Under the "Get Help Here" section, click on "Site/ Tecnical Help". When it opens click on "Create A New Topic". That will open a window where you can describe your problems in detail. Check back daily, and respond if the ask questions. I just got a problem resolved, and although it took over a week, they fixed it for me, and I'm sure many others too.

I'd make 2 suggestions: up at the top of the page is Help. You can send a message to Sparkpeople support.
Second, contact your network provider. Let them know what's going on.
Between the 2, they should be able to give you an idea of what's wrong.
