After 2 weeks of clean eating, I am feeling so much stronger....:::overall healthier. My taste buds are craving the good food which is a huge milestone for me! I am not struggling anymore with the challenge of nighttime cravings, feeling hungry after a meal, sugar cravings, feeling carb deprived due to my low carb meals, or feeling sluggish anymore. In fact my body has become accustomed to eating & feeling lighter...if you know what I mean. To sum it up, I embraced my old friend, Self Discipline....my new best bud!
I have been maintaining my scale losses(from 2 weeks ago). Even thru hitting another plateau, I don't feel derailed....::rather, I am excited to stand still (not literally...cuz I am stacking up those fitness minutes...Lol), and continue to make clean eating progress, walking/running progress and just an all-around healthy Lifestyle Progress! I feel like I am on a roll...a good one....taking me to healthy places.
My small (written) goals that began months ago are now "my lifestyle" ...:::making room for MORE small goals. The cool thing for me about small goals is that they are never intimidating......probably because they ARE small.
When I wake up and visualize my "success" for the day....:::keeping in mind that each small goal completed IS success...:::I am reminded that this "thinking" will last a lifetime! Each day I meditate on the small steps for that day. The scales don't need to move, my run doesn't need to be fast. Simply moving ...:::forward:::... with a healthy mindset = Success! Oh my! My mind is resting in the faith that the battle for me is inward...:::when my thinking is aligned with "healthy"....all is as it should be. This is a good place to live, and thrive.
So, I saw that Planet Fitness is celebrating 25 years of business this month, and I decided to join a few days ago. Amazingly, they waived the start-up fee which I was elated about...gave me their black card membership....and my walking buddy texted me that she was inspired and is joining too! May I just say that "joining a gym" has been on my bucket list for about 2 years. I am elated to say that my feet have healed to the point where I can enJOY the gym. I feel as if someone handed me the moon!
My workouts have been amazing! I remember my other good ol friends - sore muscles, agility, great music on my MP3 player and that endorphin rush as I press thru my workouts. I have been craving my old effective circuit training routine - so great to be "back in the saddle" again.
Over this past 3 day weekend, our family shared several BIG Texas sized meals , and thru it all, I stayed in my calories range successfully without any struggle at all! I feel light hearted yet strong at the same time. Does that make any sense? I haven't felt this way in awhile....had forgotten what it was like to eat less and be satisfied. But my memories are flooding back of how GREAT healthy FEELS!
Oh, and I DID bust thru that plateau this morning....down a pound!
