Vlogging?/ Looking at the positive!

Tuesday, September 05, 2017

Today was hard. I did my H Pylori test this morning, took DD to therapy, then she started saying she was still sick and feeling bad, so we debated and kept her home. So instead of going home and taking a rest (I can't seem to nap any more) I had my DD chattering away at me. We had a great talk, but I really just wanted to rest from being up half of the night.

My stomach was hurting so I laid down on a heating pad, which felt wonderful... till I got up. Then I wasn't sure if I was going to keep my lunch down or not. So, no matter how achy, no more heating pad till I talk to my doc on Thursday.

I have been debating starting a vlog on YouTube. I know I'm going to start one once I get Hope (service dog) to document her training and progress and all that. But I've been thinking about going ahead and starting one, with the help of my kids, because they want to be a part of it too, and I think starting it now would be a good build up to when I get Hope. DH doesn't want me to have one. I think because of the internet trolls and mean people, but I think I'll be okay with that. If I have to I just won't allow comments on certain vlogs.

I don't know. The kids are excited about it. I think I'm going to need to buy a video camera though, I can't get the video we made to email to my account.

Anyway, I am still not doing good, but I'm not going to go on about it. I'm going to look at the positive. I got all appointments taken care of, I kept all my food down, I picked up my DD on time, and I'm about to make homemade tortillas. I'd call that a win of a day. I'm not going to concentrate on what I didn't get done. I did what I could.

What are your opinions on vlogging? I kinda want to start now, life before service dog, and how I am doing, what the situation is and all that. Then once I get my service puppy (I'll get her as a puppy and train her with a trainer) I'll show her progress through the vlogs and my progress too, how she affects my life and my disabilities. Or should I start the vlog when I get my puppy and just make it all about her? My kids really want to be in the vlog and have input too. The vlog that we made today was hilarious, even though I can't seem to upload it, I'm going to keep it on my phone because it is awesome.

Your opinion?

Thanks and have a great Tuesday!

Hi! Glad you are doing better! I am a bad person to ask about internet videos. I tend to agree with your hubby (sorry) especially if children are involved. I would just not put family things out there. But I guess I am old-fashioned that way because I know lots of people do. Best wishes!
