Day 63 of 100 Days of Gratitude

Wednesday, September 27, 2017

Well, I'm grateful to be back home and that a strenuous day of movement is finished.I climbed 4 very steep mtns today to try to re-lose the pounds I regained on a road trip & while staying with relatives. Their breakfasts consisted of 1) cinammon rolls & cantaloupe or 2) waffles with molasses in the batter, etc. And dinner was cheese, rich dip & sausage. Delicious, but deadly. Plus eating out frequently. Wham!

So I'm back home & on track and terrified of getting on the scale. WAiting a few days so I don't get discouraged and crash.

I'm grateful that I successfully refused soda, candy, etc. during many hours on the road. That's a first in my life. Even though those triggers are here in my home, I've developed a way to ignore them.

I'm grateful it's bedtime. I'm whipped! Have a wonderful day tomorrow, everyone!

Welcome back. That's a lot to be grateful for!
One sure way to feel as if you need a nap after breakfast is to eat a bunch of sugary stuff...even cantaloupe (super high is natural sugar!) for breakfast. Your best bet, as far as your hormones are concerned, is to eat a good whack of protein (25 grams) in the morning, some good fats and a small (10-15 grams) of carbs.

emoticon Welcome home! Eating when staying with some else can be fraught with hazards.. the menu sounds very fattening! Great you got to get a hike in and being home you can eat your way again.
