Healthy Lifestyle Change for DH!!

Thursday, October 26, 2017

My husband is on the healthy lifestyle wagon! I am so super happy!! He was actually talking about getting on the treadmill today! emoticon

I have been begging DH to get in better shape with me, go to the doctor and get seen for his ailments, etc; and finally with me getting this surgery and going to be losing the weight and getting in shape, he's finally agreed - but he said he'd start when I did. Phooey, because my surgery isn't till February now. BUT! He wants to learn how to fly, and so we made a deal. I am totally for him learning to fly and getting his pilot license and eventually starting to build his own plane IF he gets in shape and goes to the doctor and is healthy first. That was my deal. And he's agreed to it!

This is a huge step for DH and for us, getting in shape and healthy together! We started talking about things we want to do after I recover from my surgery enough to do strength training again. I want to get into hiking and martial arts. DH loves martial arts and was into them big time before we had kids, so he is all for that.

I'm excited for him and it is making me not want to 'get behind' so I'll be walking on the treadmill today as well emoticon

I didn't know, but he weighs almost as much as I do. He's taller, so it looks better on him, but last he had told me a few months ago he was 30 pounds lighter than me. So I'm super happy that he is starting this now.
