A little of this and that

Saturday, December 02, 2017

Good Saturday Morning! I'm trying super hard to be quiet, but this is my normal get up time and I'm ready to get moving! I can't sleep (long story) so I may as well drink my coffee and get busy. But the kiddos deserve to sleep in and today is their one day to do so.

We have furniture coming next week!! Tuesday! It's nothing like the icky green couches I picked out last time, thank goodness. Though those will go in the basement. We have an Aunt and Uncle who wanted to give us a gift for our new home so they paid X amount of the price and we paid the rest. It's a beautiful grey, we didn't want the light brown that is so popular right now, our home is hardwood in rich, dark tones and I love it, but it would not go with a brown couch.

I love our new house, but these stairs are killing me! And I bet they are getting my legs nice and toned too emoticon

So it happened yesterday, my first pair of jeans to rip. They are the only jeans I wear because they are comfortable on my stomach (I have a hernia) I'm wearing mostly leggings till I get the hernia out. The rip was like 3 inches long. Made me wonder if there wasn't already a hole there that I didn't notice. DH let me spend $100 on leggings and tunics to replace them. I got 3 of each. Plus he wants me to go to the thrift store and see if I can't find some more jeans like that. Doubtful, but I'll try. I love leggings and tunics, they are so much fun!

My nephew lost his wife Thanksgiving night. As far as I know, her heart just stopped beating. I'm sure I'll find out more as my nephew is more willing to talk. They have 3 kids, all under 5. I know we aren't supposed to have favorites, but I do, and this is my favorite nephew. I had no way to get to the memorial, and he lives states away and I can't just stop and go stay with him for a while like I want to, to help him with the first while of not having her. I'm at a loss. All I can do is chat with him and pray for him and his family. I'm so grateful for their children, and for the time they had together, fleeting as it was.

Thank you for stopping by my blog, have a blessed day!
