Holiday Overeating

Tuesday, December 26, 2017

I have eaten way too much the last 3 days. I feel disgusted with myself for the lack of will power and self control. I have gained 3 lbs..but that is not what us bothering me. I see now that over eating is like an addiction and you can never let yourself get too comfortable or confident. Time to refocus and set some new goals. Tomorrow is back to work and back on schedule. I'm so blessed to have my Spark family here for support. 🙂

This is so true! I even avoid restaurants these days just for not to give a chance to fail. Exercising daily, shedding these pounds isn‘t that easy. It takes all my energy. I hope, I last, soon is 4th of July, another test of our determination. Thanks for your post. You are maintaining nicely. Keep up the good work. emoticon

Hope 2018 is going better! You wanted me to keep you updated about Faith, I am hauling her out to an arena today and will post pics etc on blog about it later. Be as kind to yourself as you are to others, I often wonder why we need to remind ourselves of this? Maybe there's a bigger message in the second half of 'Love your neighbor as yourself', as in it's okay to show yourself some love & forgiveness too emoticon

I know exactly what you mean Last Wednesday I was1.5 lb from my 50 lb weight loss goal by the end of the year. Now I have gained about 7 pounds and more than likely will not reach my goal in time. I pray for strength to do better next time. God bless

...like you, I also ate emoticon too much but, proud to say, it was much less than previous years and i brought nothing home!!!...win!!! emoticon ...i take loosing this weight and making a lasting life style change as SERIOUSLY as anyone however, disgusted, No Way!!!...i had a good time sampling everything...nothing was off limits...and i left proud(because I didn't bring home a plate of leftovers) and happy because of guilt free eating...you can't be so hard on yourself...we know what happens during the holidays we just have to be aware of the pitfalls...i was with people i don't see often..for us, holidays are like family reunions...something done once a year...we have an old family and not a lot of descendants so from one get together to the next, we never know who will be returning...next get together is New Year's and it's over until Christmas 2018...our tradition is we spend Thanksgiving with our immediate families then gather for Christmas...so, to make a long story short, enjoyed myself and will get back to being disciplined January 2nd(giving away any leftover Eggnog Ice Cream) emoticon ...
