Why Are You Posting So Many Food Pics?!

So that’s my thing -I love sharing pictures of meals I’ve created. It also helps me with accountability of what I put in my mouth.
Another reason: I am learning so much about the nutrients in a variety of foods and I’m learning how to put certain foods together to maximize nutrient intake while tantalizing my taste buds through a vegetarian lifestyle.
Coming from a diet that was satiated with meats, I am learning how to satisfy my cravings for flavor through my current staple foods that exclude meat. It has been such a fun journey thus far!
I initially thought it would be more challenging to have sufficient protein intake through plant based eating, especially since I am bodybuilding. It is possible. So far, I’m getting my protein intake from a variety of sources: tofu, beans, broccoli, other veggies, quinoa. While I realize I could totally splurge on grains, I’m not much of a grains girl - not into eating a whole lot of bread or other high starchy foods (besides my beans). Truly trying to eat healthy. If I do bread, tend to stick with sprouted grains.
This is all about me developing healthy eating habits that makes my body happy. And with any great journey, I’m documenting and taking pictures along the way. :-)
