The scale my friend not my friend. We need to quit spending so much time together.

Tuesday, January 09, 2018

I restarted just after Christmas at 207 last Friday down to 199 yesterday back up and today still up. Food intake wise I'm doing great. Target for calories. Getting water in, have not had soda even diet since Sunday night. My rings and clothes fit better even with two layers on than they did before. So I will count that NSV. Today I decided I will only weigh on Tuesday mornings and I will start doing measurements. The scale will still be my friend, my tool on this journey but no longer my best friend since we don't get along much anymore.

Exactly. I feel better, eating healthy, exercising.

The scale is that superficial friend. They don't care about what's inside, and they don't care about the truth. I step on a scale once a week (Wednesdays). But, I remember the number doesn't matter. What is key to my success is how I feel.

I never count anything during the day because with all the water I drink it fluctuates but it is fustrating

I understand! I keep weighing myself, but it's up and down every day. Or even thought the day. Like 5 pounds or more! I'm trying to just focus on the long term eating well and tracking that I know will get me where I want to go. Easier said than done
