Life as a Country Music song...

What a roller coaster ride we have been on since right before Christmas. On December 23rd, Bear decided to to run out the door and straight into a car. We thought he was dead. Brought him in and he collapsed in a ball. Quick run to the ER Vet where he spent 24 hours - collapsed/bruised lung, lacerations and nerve damage. He has a paralyzed right/front paw that may need to be amputated. This made us cancel our Christmas plans to go visit my in-laws in Iowa.
Then... Tim's son (age 30) decided to be a bullheaded kid and chose not to wear his seatbelt. He paid for it dearly. He hit the ditch, his chest ran into the steering wheel and then he went through the windshield. He has bruised ribs, staples in his head, stitches in several places and a broken sternum.
The New Year must get better so I am going to better my health and get back on Spark and stick to it. I ventured off into the Weight Watchers world and wow - what a waste of money - they don't have even half the tracking options that Spark has. And they cost a lot of money. I found the meetings useless - it ended up just being a BS session of life instead of focusing on weight loss.
I need to restart the gym but with the weather being as nasty as it has been, driving to the gym has been low priority - guess I could lock up the dogs and use videos.
Hope your new year is off to a better start than ours!
