5% challenge week 1

Saturday, January 13, 2018

Just did my weigh in for week 1 of my challenge. Only a half pound down. I'm surprised and disappointed. Please don't understand, It is a loss, and I'm certainly thankful for that. But a half pound after all my walking and what seemed like good eating? It's frustrating.

Each week we have a different "challenge". Week 1 was water, which generally is not an issue for me. I got all my water plus some, most days. Week 2 is nutritional tracking. I don't know why it's so hard for me, but tracking IS a challenge. HOWEVER... if I do well and actually track, I'm really hoping that will result in a good weigh in.

Also... I need to do measurements. I know from past experience that sometimes the scale isn't moving but progress is being made.

Lastly.. I need to get better about my sleep. I sacrificed a few too many good nights this week and read late instead of going to bed. IT WAS A REALLY GOOD BOOK THOUGH! haha

That's a great weigh in...don't be so hard on yourself!! Just keep doing what your doing and your body will catch up...haha I had a decent weigh in this morning, I'm sure it's just getting somewhat back on track from the holidays..these challenges are an awesome way to be accountable to ourselves! I'm going to try and continue with each challenge the entire 8 weeks...should see some results right??!!

Nothing like a good book to derail the sleep! I am so with you on that! LOL! BUT sleep is really important for weight loss so maybe that is what slowed you down this week? Who knows...

Any loss is a good one so take the half pound and celebrate! YAY YOU!

It is discouraging. However if you are eating right and exercising it will show. Might just take a bit more. I agree, try on some clothes that you thought were too small and I bet they fit better now! Best wishes!

Track your sodium. If you are drinking a lot of water and eating right it might just be water ritention. I lowered my sodium and dropped 7 lbs in first 4 days.

I bet you’re gaining muscle. Check your body measurements. Try on what you think are “too tight” pants. You might just be surprised. :)
