An apology to the Rowdy Rebels

Saturday, January 20, 2018

I feel terrible that I haven't been engaged like I have in previous challenges. I thought I owed you all a bit of an explanation. I think some of you are aware I have an indolent form of lymphoma. I started treatment again on 1/4, and so far it hasn't been going great (reactions to the treatment). I am so torn with staying in the challenge, or dropping out. I am super fatigued, and having to take steroids, which are driving my blood sugars WAY up. Some days I don't feel like getting out of bed, much less my recliner.

On a bright note, we "re-start" treatment on Thursday, and somewhere in here I am supposed to start PT on my shoulder, which should give me some exercise minutes.

Please know that I appreciate all of you, and am doing my best to work towards being a more active Rowdy Rebel.

Never feel that you have to apologize to anyone for anything that you can't help, my friend! We love you and pray that you are better soon. The ROWDY REBELS are LUCKY to have YOU! Your cheery disposition in spite of troubles is invaluable! Take care of yourself -- you are WORTH IT! emoticon

No need to apologize. There are things that happen to us that we have little to no control over. Please don't leave the team! I think you'll receive the support and encouragement you need by staying involved. I'm improving bit by little bit, and plan on coming back in the Spring. I'd like to see you back in the Spring too!!

Stay a Rebel! There's lots of love and support there. Participation is the only goal.

You First. I would make that the decision and drop out. Let it go, that way you can focus on getting better.
The challenge will be here when you are 300% better.
    Just my 2cents.

emoticon Take care of yourself the best you can. You getting better is top priority and far more important than a few challenge points.

I'm so sorry you are having a rough time. Please do what is best for you and not worry about the challenge team. There is no healing benefit to wearing yourself out. Will include you in my prayers.
