Just before my Trip to CA a friend of mine told me about a company named Wildtree. She mentioned that she just started carrying Keto & Paleo options and thought it would help me. I was excited and said I would check it out when I made it home from the trip. Now this friend is the friend that did the 10 k with me, and 2 days after that I had an email that my order had been received.
Long story short I freaked out then found out that my dear friend gifted me a Keto Freezer Meal Prep Kit!! I was so excited and thankful!
Said kit came with all the following seasonings, directions, shopping list for 10 meals and stickers for the bags going in the freezer.
Each meal serves 4-6 people. Well, there is just me and my Hubs so I got a total of 17 meals out of this kit. 17!! I had 17 meals ready to go in my freezer! All I had to do was thaw, add any additional items and cook! (Today I dumped Creamy Picante Chicken into the crockpot! That will be posted later this week w/Low carb tortillas!)
I shopped for everything last weekend, the Kit was $85, I spent about $140 on groceries. Now mind you, I typically spend like $30-40 a week. Here is my haul of groceries
I have NOTHING stocked in my house, so I basically had to buy everything lol. Now I feel I can actually by extra things to have stocked up to make it easier next time!! I also have a good half of all those seasonings left! Which I have already been using on chicken breast for a roast chicken soup I did & pork chops. I feel it was a TOTAL great deal!
The best part is it was all natural and no sugar! Not one item up there has anything but herbs in it. No chemicals, GMO free, organic!
I had mentioned to my hubs that I wanted to pay more attention to the ingredients and try to get more natural, actual foods. When Mirm dropped this in my lap I took that as a sign that this was my opportunity.
It took me about 2 hrs total to prep it all and here are my bags!
It really was awesome to know that I had all these meals in the freezer and ready to go. I made 2 the following week
Herb Roasted Chicken
Chipotle Steak Soup
This soup was so dang good! I added a huge dollop of sour cream on top and man! A good amount of heat and just so good!! I will definitely be making them again, the chicken obviously since there is still a meal ready but that soup.. heck yes I am making it again! I had initially thought why didn't I just by stew meat, it called for a chuck roast. Oh no way.. I am always using the chuck roast. It is that freaking good!!
Either way, it was freaking and now I am pretty obsessed with the company. I would definitely suggest checking it out and will even share the website just in case you want to and I am even considering being a rep in the future. I like them that much!
I just really wanted to share my excitement. It is such a help!!
