I’m back

Thursday, February 08, 2018

I am back with renewed vigour. For the first time ever I am having a higher blood pressure. I’ve been sorting through eating plans. There is a lot of contradicting advice. Doing my best. Have had a pretty successful month. To date have lost 3” off my waist and 6-8 pounds since early January. Nothing like a health scare to get me moving. In emergency now as my daughter has an infection which has gotten worse despite antibiotics. Had to cancel a portrait class I teach and felt pretty crummy doing that. Buts it’s portraits not life or death. Trying to remain positive and reduce stress as part of this new plan. Loving exercise. It’s hard to exercise when your heavy and have a few long term injuries but I be found a few routines that work. And it feels super good. Thought I’d use the time in the emergency waiting room for a quick blog. I feel hopeful that they will be able to help my daughter. Fingers crossed. I hope this is the last time I’ll yo-yo and I’ll find a happy healthy maintainable way to eat! Til next time.

Wow! Sorry to hear about your daughter. I know she's grown, and might not listen, but it would be really helpful to her body if she were completely off sugar while she's on antibiotics, and also she would benefit greatly from taking probiotics to replace the good bacteria that oral antibiotics destroy...since that is their job - destroy all bacteria, whether good or bad.
High blood pressure can occur when someone is not overweight. It can be menopause that brings it on. My MIL, who is skinny, has high BP, but nevertheless, losing weight and keeping it off as we age is the best way to prevent unnecessary suffering of most ailments.
Congrats on ditching some weight and losing some inches!!
