Sunday: So Much To Say!

Sunday, February 11, 2018

Good Sunday Morning everyone! I woke up super early, wide awake, on the couch. I did not remember coming down to the living room, so it was one of those, "where am I?" Kind of moments, lol. Guess my cough got bad last night. Oh well. I see my ENT on Tuesday and we'll hopefully get me on a stronger reflux med. My understanding though is that the surgery I'm having all but fixes reflux, so no worries.

I ran out of creamer this morning, so I'm quitting coffee after this cup. I had quit coffee back in early January, but had a rough sleep time and bought some more. Now I get to go through withdrawals again, yay me. I'm still going to have chai for another week, then it should run out and I'll be done with caffeine for good. I'm going to miss it, but I do want to run on my own energy as well. I already have a sampler of herbal teas to try, and will buy a few more as my kids love hot tea and have used up most of my sampler, lol.

Also starting today I'm going to aim for a total of 30 minutes working out, in 10 minute increments, with stretching after each one. For one, I'm not sure I can do a full 30 minutes at one time. Secondly, I need the stretching, badly. I wish I could do strength training, but my hernia prohibits that.

I'm getting back on track today with my meal plan. I totally was off of it last week and I gained weight. Not good. I don't have enough clothes that fit me as it is. So I'm going to go back to the dietitians meal plan for me and I'm trying to find a good food that I can have ready and on hand for dinners, my problem meal. I found this weight watchers veggies soup, but I'm worried it won't taste good. But it's meals for quite a while if I'm the only one eating it (and I will be, lol). So I guess today I'm going to go get the stuff to make it and freeze half of it in serving sizes in sturdy ziploc bags. I'll let you know how it turns out and if it is good I'll post the link to the site.

We finally got a table for my craft area! It's not a room, just this bigger than normal area at the top of the stairs where all the doors to the bedrooms are. I only have room for one table, so it's going to be a bit smaller than I had hoped. But my sewing stuff fits on top of it. I need to organize it and get my chair up there and I'll be good to start sewing! My first projects that I start on I want to be aprons. That may sound silly, who uses aprons any more? I do! At least I do now. I've destroyed several of my very few shirts that fit me by not wearing an apron and getting ingredients all over me on accident. I've got a couple of cheapy aprons that Aunt brought to me when I told her about my apron delima, plus I have my bread baking apron DH bought me at Williams Sonoma (bright red, I LOVE it!).

DH got a message from the phone company we use that I was eligible for an upgrade, so guess who got surprised with a new phone! Now I'm going to take forever trying to figure out how to use it! I was upset that not all of my contacts were transferred over. In fact only 10 were. So I'll be spending my free time transferring each contact one by one. But it has a bigger battery so it won't die on me like mine was starting to do. Yay!

Pretty sure I won't be going to church today. I feel like zooming around the house cleaning and then throwing up (too much coffee at once! Ah!). I'm so excited about my craft area and getting our room clean (it became the place where things we didn't know what to do with went). We've got a rather small walk in closet filled with boxes. Two (rather large ones) are clothes that don't fit me yet and I need to go through them and decide which ones I want to keep and pack them in one of those deflatable bags that you use the vacuum cleaner to get all the air out of. No sense in keeping clothes that I don't actually want to wear when I am that size!

I think I've rambled enough, YDD is up so maybe the others will wake up soon. I may try going back to bed, but I doubt it will work. Today will be full of cooking (vegetable soup), cleaning (my bedroom), organizing (the craft area) and baking with my kiddos! If I manage to get anything baked, I'll post pictures tomorrow!

Hi there! emoticon I have confidence that you are going to do great getting in those 30 minutes. 10 minutes 3xs a day is very beneficial from my understanding, and I think it's an excellent idea! I hope your

I love aprons! My husband and I always wear them when cooking, especially during the week when making dinner in "work clothes". I buy the ones that have straps that cross in the back bc I get headaches with any pressure on my neck.

Yay for craft areas! I'm so glad you are settling into your new home, making the spaces fit your needs. What an adventure. Stay strong in making wise choices - food, exercise and coffee-wise.

Congrats on your craft area! It looks like you've got all the plans, I hope they work for you. And I hope the coffee withdrawal isn't too bad!

Isn't baking with your girls fun? I love to bake with my girls. Today I will just be cooking though: pork chops, baked potatoes, and an acorn-asparagus-carrot medley. That's the meal my youngest daughter requested for her birthday dinner. She wants an ice cream cake so no baking required.
