I weighed in today, even though it hasn't been a full week since I started. I was 228.8 when I started on Monday, and today I'm 227.4. I'm happy I'm on my way. I need to remind myself that this is a long journey and it's ok to go slow. And I also need to remember that I'm going to do this eating well thing forever, not just until I lose the weight. I'm tired of having to lose the weight after gaining it all back. I bought a bunch of Atkins bars today, to have on hand in case I have extreme sweet cravings, or I need a quick meal, but I don't want to eat them on a regular basis. I'm finding that I'm really happy eating plain real meat and veggies. I've been eating a lot of beef this week and it's so good. I want to buy some chicken when I go shopping too, for variety. I'm not much of a fish eater, but I had some tuna salad this week and it was very good. I'm waiting for my hubby to wake up from a nap so we can go for a walk. I'm feeling more energetic today and I actually want to move my body. What a great feeling!
