for all that you have and all
that you are.
When I saw this today, I thought it was so fitting!
I live a simple life. I am grateful for everything I own. When my car is without brakes, I have to relay on others to take me places, it is once again a reminder to be grateful for everything!
Here are some positives in my life yesterday:
*When my son went off to college, I heard all these parent's talk about how much their kids communicate with them. Mine has hated the phone since he was little. It didn't help that his paternal grandma got the courts to punish him weekly for not talking to her on the phone. I knew when my kid left for college, he would not communicate with me. This is his 3rd year in college and I am grateful he has discovered ways to communicate this year with me.
*My son's girlfriend started snap chatting me last night. My son had taken a huge glass bowl and filled it full of green raw veggies and told her that was supper. Apparently he feels she doesn't eat healthy enough for him. I was giggling. She did show me he gave her dip. To me it looked like a good way for a good colon clean out if I ate all that! She could not eat it all! She said my son was proud of himself-hum!!!
*I rested as much as possible. With the storm coming in, my knees really hurt yesterday when I tried to walk. The pain started to get better when I heard sleet this AM.
*I didn't do the Wii step last night but I did test my Wii age. It was in the 20's Woo Hoo! Now only if my body was what it said my age was-lol
My 2018 goals:
Read 30 minutes-yes!
Try a new recipe, a new food, learn something new-no.
Do one thing daily related to the month, season, holiday-was going to spring decorate. I shared before I put on my entertainment center my son's antique light he got at a thrift store, my willow tree figures, some sparkling pink, purple, and yellow butterflies that look like flowers in mini green bottles, and a tiny vases rose and blue colored. I snap chatted son and his girl friend a photo. I felt it needed something. I read the following decor for spring:
*Create a fun gerber daisy center piece for your kitchen table
*Daisies throughout your home in baskets with greenery.
*Bright colored table cloths, place mates, and napkins.
*Bright photo frames, ribbon, and green or blue glass vases with fresh flowers.
I also shared I am starting a journal and filling it full of things that make me happy. Well when son's GF replied she suggested lights and candle. She also thought maybe it was a college age thing. Son replied light. I giggled because both Christmas lights and candles are listed in my happy journal and I never thought of them up there! But if you watch 'Good Witch' she has both around her shop and I love it!
Monthly goal: Marching out of my rut...yesterday I was plan on making brownies for the 1st time and cleaning the kitchen. Since my knees hurt I didn't. Making brownies for the 1st time ever will be mine today!
Monthly verse: Proverbs 16:16-Nope!
Day 74 of winter. The weather alert is for 11:30 AM today to 6 AM Tuesday but it's been a wintery mix here already. I've never seen such huge snow flakes! My knee pain is almost gone. Nothing is sticking to the ground yet! The temp is 34.
5 days until my son's Spring Break!!!
I have to add I follow Candace Cameron Bure on FB. She has wrote how she reads every comment and how she almost deleted her account due to people's comments. Today I remarked I love your sense of homer. You always make me laugh! I have had ever since I wrote that negative remarks thrown back at me! People are so cruel!
