My Adventures in Spark Land...getting excited for son's spring break

Thursday, March 08, 2018

Today is your day,
it is filled with possibilities.
So, go ahead,
and make today
your most
~Heather Stillufstill 2014

Here is my positives from yesterday:
emoticon The 1st of the month I normally shop for a weeks worth of food and other things I need. Since I was on my way to do this when my breaks went out in my car, I didn't get this done. My brother took me to the local food store. The price of their food is 2-3 times as much as Walmart. And the quality of their food is awful! I almost got ill drinking their lemonade and grape juice. The 8th of the month I normally go 'food shopping' at Aldi and Walmart. Since this is the 8th and I still am without a car and my son is coming home for 9 days I was feeling bad. My son texted me yesterday. He is going food shopping for me. Either last night or today! What a blessing!
emoticon If you follow my blogs, you will know I am changing. I begin a note book where I write down things 'I like'. One thing I have always liked in Christmas lights. I saw how my friend from Lacrosse used lights in all 3 of her girl's bedrooms and I loved it. I wanted to do that in my son's room but...anyhow when my son went off to college, he begin to get creative with Christmas lights in his dorm room. Last night he agreed to bring them home and let me use whatever lights he isn't using in his room at the house! I am so excited!
emoticon I was getting restless yesterday so I went to pinterest and looked at some new exercises I pin. One was some dance to the Beach boys 'Surfin USA'. I ended up doing that one plus 4 others by that person. I felt alive afterwards! That was also my stress release for the day!
emoticon I watched 2 new episodes of 'Heartland' on UPTV
emoticon I clean the bathroom. Now I need to vacuum and just 'pick up' a bit here and there!
emoticon I had planned on making cherry bread yesterday from scratch but I am going to wait until son comes home and make them in his pamper chef pans.

My 2018 goals:
emoticon Read for 30 minutes-Nope
emoticon Try a new recipe, a new food, learn something new-Nope
emoticon Do one thing a day related to the holiday, season, month, etc-It is International Women's Day! Women Celebrate you!
emoticon Monthly goal-March out of my rut...I did my Wii board earlier in the evening. LOL I was really cold when I went to bed last night. I've been exercising before bed which warms me up before bed. I also got tired earlier!
emoticon Monthly verse to memorize-Proverbs 16:16

emoticon Day #78 of Winter. It is 22 right now and sunny.
emoticon Spring break for my son starts tomorrow!!! I had to LOL. He is finishing his 3rd year of college and is 20. He is going shopping for food early instead of on his way home because he is bringing his new beta fish and he doesn't want to leave his fishie in the car alone!!!

Keep Sparkling!

Beta fish are super sensitive to cold, so it is a good think he isn't going to leave his fish alone in the car. That is how Lightening the beta fish died. I keep my house pretty cold. We tried to have a Viking funeral for him. Since it was the middle of winter, we couldn't get him to burn. LOL. My dad used to have fish. When he would be gone for a week, he would get these compressed fish food pyramids. They would slowly dissolve over the time he was gone, and that way we wouldn't have to go feed them every day.

Shoot! I responded and it disappeared! My computer or SP must want my thumb to hurt! LOL! First, what is a beta fish? A live fish, like a pet? With it being so cold, and if it is real, I don't blame him!! So happy he is going food shopping for the both of you! that will help a lot! OK, does he "have pans will travel" or did you ask him to bring his PC pans home? Just curious! The dancing sounds like so much fun! glad you enjoyed it!
