My Adventures in Spark Land...We are special to God/getting back to basic

Friday, March 09, 2018

How cool
is it that
the same God who
created mountains
and oceans and
galaxies looked
at you and thought
the world needs one of you,
too.
~Unknown

I thought this was so cool! We are special to God.

As many of you know I was abused. My mom was a very inpatient person. One of my Dad's brothers took life at a slow pace. He drove my mom nuts. I am not a perfectionist by any means but I am slower at doing things which drove my mom nuts. Because of it, I find myself getting down on myself a lot for being slow or not doing things as 'perfect' as my mom did. And as some of you know I've had comments on here concerning my slowness of 'getting over my abuse' and 'moving on with life'.

Today during my Bible Study I learned that God wants the changes in our lives to be slow because then those changes will become habit-wow!!!

A while ago I felt God telling me to get back to basic. Joining this Bible Study has helped me get there Spiritually. As I am looking at my eating and exercise habits today during my Bible Study, I realized I need to get back to basic with both of them as well as every area of my life.

So today yes my son comes home. But I am also reminding you but especially myself that we all are special to God. In order to have a healthier life style to be on the earth longer, I need to make smaller changes in my lifestyle so that they will become life time habit not fads!

I have IBS and I think rushing myself is just creating stress for myself and stress is creating my IBS to become worse.

My March goal is to March out of my rut:

emoticon Yesterday I frosted cupcakes. I found the left over neon pink frosting that was in the fridge very hard to work with but the chocolate I freshly opened was very easy to work with. I added sprinkles on top. That was my favorite part.

Keep Sparkling!

I think everyone needs to move at the pace that they need to. Sometimes I rush so much that I make mistakes or accidentally drop an entire container of brand new expensive dog food all over the floor. (My yesterday.) If anyone gives you a hard time about your pace being thoughtful and methodical, just tell them you are on island time.

Thank you for your great inspiration and help you have given me. I have started to take baby steps at getting things done. I still want to stop before I set my little goal, but I think of you and your encouragement. I was verbally abused my my father and had no self esteem and it wasn't until I was born again that I started to feel better about myself knowing that God loves me no matter what. Thank you again for your help.
Love your blogs, emoticon emoticon Joan emoticon emoticon
