My Adventures in Spark Land...Day #10 of Marching out of my rut

Saturday, March 10, 2018

Live every moment you can
and love every day
with all your heart.
-Heather A Stillufson 2014

My son and his fishies made it home safe. He has 1 blue beta fish, 1 catfish, and 1 snail.

My March goal is March out of my rut month

emoticon One of my biggest monthly bill is cable. The price keeps raising without any notice. My son talked me into a roku. Now that he is switching all the monthly bills into his name at the house, he has become more aware of why I am complaining. Last night he spent time looking into opinions for me. We decided on direct tv now. It cost is less then 1/2 the price I am paying for cable. Plus he can use it in his room at house where he lives at college also! I'm said it doesn't have UPTV. Monday I will cancel my cable. It will take some getting use to but I think over all I will be happy with it.

Don't forget to spring ahead! (I'm always afraid I will forget)

Keep Sparkling!

We cut our cable awhile ago. We use an HD antenna. Our picture is actually better than it was on cable. We do have Netflix and Amazon Prime, so that allows for some additional programming. We also have a Roku, but kind of forget that we have it. The biggest thing we have missed is watching the Rose Parade on HGTV, but that show once a year isn't worth what we were paying.

Cable costs are ridiculous! They are always raising the price without notice. Hope the change works out well for both of you!

It's great to have your son helping with your bills. I have never had a cable bill. My daughter tells me I am living in the dark ages. In 1963, we put up an antenna on a 40 foot tower and about 10 years ago, I had it moved onto a 60 foot tower and that's what I use. I receive about 35 channels and I am quite happy with that. Have a Blessed weekend.

That's awesome to know you have your son to help you sort out your bills.

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I were looking at our bills we changed some of ours over. I managed to save $230.00 a year on my car insurance just by shopping around.

It pays to do that every now and again. emoticon

We no longer have cable but have the Amazon Firestick. I like it. Very happy that your son is helping you with the bills.

Enjoy your weekend with your son.

I got rid of my cable years ago - wasn't worth the money for the tiny bit my son watched.

Hope you enjoy the new service. Yes, cable TV is very expensive.
