Fell, glad I got that out of the way

The road bike(DRAGONFLY), is simply awesome. The inaugural ride was just 6 miles at rodale park. I can see how the addiction starts now.
Yesterday was cold(30F) 10 AM I went on a Genesis group ride(with JEWEL trail bike) for 11 miles. Finally, warmed up about 20 minutes into it. Got back home, had lunch, went for another 10 miles on the Ironton Rail trail with DRAGONFLY. Still cold but simply glorious. I must also mention I fell with my clipless pedals. I only unclipped my right foot but lost balance onto the left. Surprisingly did not hurt at all. Glad I got that out of the way. When I fell the computer stopped working. I went to the bike shop to adjust my cleat tension, handlebar rotation, raise seat a tiny bit, and figure out how to pair the cadence sensor/computer to strava and now I understand how the sensor/computer works. I am still amazed I rode 21 miles yesterday and feel ready for more today. This is even more fabulous!
It is a miracle my butt doesn't hurt. I am really surprised because the new seat on DRAGONFLY is flat and hard but supports well. The clipless pedals and shoes really make difference in speed and power. I will get double clip pedals for DRAGONFLY and put these half clip pedals on JEWEL. My cadence is only 65 but I am not a racer so it doesn't matter. I ride for the simple joy and exercise.
I am now an event host for one of my meetup groups and have posted the first event for Mar 21 at 3 pm. CYCLE SOCIAL RIDE of 10.4 miles on the D&L trail from slatington to treichler's bridge and back. I am excited and a little nervous. 3 people signed up already. If all goes well, I will post more rides varying distance and location. Ultimately I would like to offer 4 rides a week through this year. I see that I will be getting to goal weight for sure by summer If I keep this up.
