It's in the 60's & 70's here. Spring has sprung in South Texas.
Time to start working on the yard. We want to extend our back patio area, so we have a lot of work to do. I'm really nervous about DH doing yard-work though, esp since that's what he was doing in November when he had the heart attack. The good news is, his blood work looks fantastic. He's been managing his diabetes well and his cardiologist was very happy with his cholesterol numbers.
I ran my first trail race on Saturday. It was just a 5K, but it was really fun. May have to add this race as an annual tradition!
I did do the Winter 5% challenge. No results to speak of, and I'm going to take a step back for awhile and not do the spring challenge. I just need to work on my priorities, and getting on here on the daily/weekly isn't one of them right now.
Last night I made a Salisbury Steak from scratch. I'm pretty proud of myself. LOL I grew up with super simple meals, so anything needing more than 5 ingredients and more than that many steps, I skip. haha I've been trying to broaden our dinner choices though, and have found that cooking healthy "can" sometimes take more time. So I found a recipe for a low carb salisbury steak and was very happy with myself last night when it came out well.
Anyone else find trying new recipes a little nerve wrecking? I'm just so nervous how they'll come out. I don't know why... worse case, we end up gong to Subway for dinner.
anyone else recovering from losing an hour of sweet sleep. I feel like I lost another hour last night! I don't know what happened. Ever feel so tired you can't sleep? I felt that way last night. It's maddening. LOL
